Went for a Blat with Hellraiser - some sweepers, some twisties, some urban riding, a wave to Dyna 50 on the way past at Maraetai and finally a cup of coffee chez moi. No camera yesterday. I'm waiting for the Pohutakakwa trees to blossom fully then I hope to get some of the Maraetai coast - slow speed though as much of that road is 50kph zone.

Fantastic Dodger! You will remember the first time you held your daughter for ever. Mine is 11 and she is blown away that my memory goes back that far!!!

Didnt think I was that old!?

Congrats to you and mum. Every day is a treasure to behold.

    Well done DM50, nice bike.

BTW - you shouldn't ride around with black marks over your licence plate though, the cops might bust you.

    Congrats Dodger! What a sweetie.

Went on chicks ride. Practiced going 100kph.. thats fast for me, by the end of the day, was used to it... and started to relax. Cornering, still bothers me... have to start thinking positive, and lean. Learnt not to drink too much when you are on a ride (diet coke and water that is)... slightly uncomfortable to ride when got full bladder! But all and all, an awesome day!

You could at least ease it in. You'll see just how "happy" I am when we meet. A couple of the Aucklanders have met me now...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

And I watched as he shot off... crazy? Nope! One day I'll be able to do that too, but until then I'll be happy not running it to wide into the corners (ah cliff) and riding at my own pace... and if that doesn't work then I'll... damn I'll cry...

    Good effort dodger!

Went out maraetai, practised expecting cages to brake hard, turn then indicate (happened at least half a dozen times!) On way back went thru twilight road and clevedon, what a buzz! Have added twilight as my scenic route on way home from work. Generally practised road position, entry and exits on corners and enjoy the ride.

W00t! On ya! Soon you too will be joining the ranks of "5 minutes to work, 2 hours to get home" brigade! I was out and about with a new old rider (he's been riding for 15 years, took a break for 2 and now is back on them again)

His bike wasn't charging the battery and it ran out on the Whitby to Clevedon road - lent him my bike to nip off and get a spare battery while I laid on a bank staring at the cloud and sky and countryside. He's been down all the routes I took him, only in a cage. On a bike, he says it's so much fun it should be illegal!

    Keep riding out there safely!
