Unhappy First post. And i crashed :(

Yay my first post. Sad subject though. Had my Hyosung GT250 for a couple of weeks now. And what did I do? Did a U-turn without shoulder checking and a car bloody hit me. Hardly any damage to the bike. Snapped brake lever and cracked front guard (anyone have an idea on price to get the guard replaced?) and a sprained foot. Dent to her car though but it won't be much to get fixed. Moral of the story - don't rely on the mirrors. I feel so stupid but lesson learnt

Sorry to hear about your run-in with a large metal object Glad to hear you are okay and you know what you did wrong! I'm paranoid about my head-checks (they're called life-savers for a good reason!)

A rough way to post, but welcome anyhows and I know you will be a safer, better rider for the future! Just keep learning and putting into practice all the good skills you can!

    Welcome.
Sounds like the car will be the most expensive thing to fix, if you don’t mind going with a cracked front guard for a while. I had my front lever snapped for me, and got a GSXR W one as a replacement, seemed to improve brakes, but probably a placebo effect.

Unfortunate, but lessons learnt. Good luck with the repairs. Ha you could just go for the bling and carbon fibre stuff!

Welcome, what a hard way to introduce yourself, but it seems like you have learnt the lesson, I am sure it is a mistake you won't repeat

See if you can find a mentor to help you along, or read BuckBucks thread below, it is a very good breakdown on getting started

I don't know if they teach it in this country, but the headcheck is called a "lifesaver" for a reason.....

Glad you are ok, that could've been a lot worse. Welcome to the site!

Hey idontknow... well - you're safely in the majority in respect of hitting (or being hit by) a car, and as others have said - glad you came out all right.

Welcome to KB too - a fine choice and a (remarkably) large group of people of all walks, riding everything you can imagine, and possibly then some.
