I've just had a rear M3 fitted and have a 014 on the front.

Two trackdays back I ran 014's front and back, this was not fun at all, the rear let go on me 2 times, once at turn one off pit straight, and a huge moment at turn 3 doing prolly 140k's.

The GSX-R day just gone I had the m3 on the rear and 014 on the front. The m3 was bullet proof, well it did move a bit when fully leaned over trying to get the power down, but I thought it was exceptable considering it's a sport/tourer. Still prefer to run a slick but would be happy to go on a trackday with the M3.

If I run the M3 front first I will try the Viper front with the M3 rear. I love the Viper front and have run it with a lot of different rears without any problems at all.

On the road they are solid. And I mean like race tyre grippy solid. Warm up faster than a suicide bomber after pulling the trigger cord and handle just about anything you can chuck at them. At the track they were equally as good. you can carry bucketloads of corner speed and get on the gas real early and the tyres just let you do this with outright confidence. And as for wear, well like I say a good long road ride followed by a trackday and they look like I have just popped down the shops to get some milk. Hardly any wear at all. I honestly don't know how Metzeler have created a tyre that boasts this longevity yet affords such amounts of grip. They have very deep tread and I expected this to cause a little bit of movement, but nope, it's like riding on slicks. They're so good they should be free for health and safety reasons to help lower the road toll. Until they are I suggest you go buy a pair.

Bike magaxine did a comparison among 3 riders, of the Michelin Power Race - Pilot Power 2CT - Pilot Road. The Pilot Road came out as the most prefered tyre, although the Power Race got very good ratings. The feel of the Pilot Power was not liked very much.
