Big thanks to the Poo's family too, nice comfy place to stop, hell of a driveway though!

Big ups to you Wellingtonians too, for your great hospitality.... shame you can't do good weather too
Yeah! Weather was lousy (sp) on Friday. I think we used up all the good stuff the day before for Uncle B. Sorry I didn't get to meet any of you guys on Friday. Couldn't get 2 days in a row to make it to both. Maybe next time, but let's make it in better circumstances. I don't ever want another week like the last one.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

Was well worth the pilgrimage. Apologies to those that had to endure my snoring at any stage of the adventure.

As has been said, was good to put names to faces, pity about the circumstances though - which brings me to the point, why not more often anyway?

That way we can incorporate some riding etc around different areas and not just hear about how 'such and such a hill is awesome'... we know because we've ridden it ourselves!

That's a great idea, like a Great KB road trip. All meet in Taupo and ride around some great roads all together in convoy. Could have like a scavenger hunt thing as you go (I just like party games, sorry).

Dammit Trudi, Wellingtonians could have been cool right until the point you said 'scavenger hunt'.

I am soooo uncool, I'm always the dickhead at partys wearing the paper hat out of the cracker and playing with the kids.

The pleasure was all mine Fatjim. It was nice to finally meet you and “direct traffic” together.

This was my first proper visit to Wellington with an enjoyable ride down with Zapf (sorry for making you empty your tank so early Z) and a solo ride back.

It was most excellent of Loosebruce’s family to share their final private moments with him.

Thanks for the hospitality Deano, nice to finally meet you.

Cheers Sugilite for that AWESOME, AWESOME!!! tour of all the lovely roads you have up there. The whole ride used three full tanks of gas but what a ride!!!

My only regret was not being able to make it to Paul’s place and meet Jim2. Sorry Jim but a whole day following Sugilite around his old stomping ground, the rain, the cold…. Gosh, never realized how weak I was, anyway I hope you accept my excuses.

Finally Limbimtimwim mate, thanks for the accommodation bud, I sincerely appreciate it. Sorry for leaving a puddle on the floor from my soaked gear.

Best wishes to all of you,
    JSG

If it's any consolation, aff-man snores nearly as loud as you...only he does different tunes....like a bike winding up through the gears...then hitting the limiter.

I'm not an Aucker but thanks Deano for the room at Deanos Duxton. I was lucky enough to ride some wicked roads that I had only heard about. MUST do the Akatarawas in the dry next time. Was cool to meet so many Kbers despite the circumstances.

Man I wish I still had the bike for the trip down and back, cause it is such a boring trip in the car.

Sorry I didn't catch up with you guys at Deano's place, I was pretty buggered after 3 1/2 hours sleep then driving down. Went back to our hotel and crashed out.

Was good to see a few familiar faces and meet a few new ones.
