I tried this: http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/tips#oth_cache
Only 'browser.cache.disk.parent_directory' doesn't exist. Anyone have any idea where I can find it?

There is a utility that you can install into firefox to capture you tube movies and the like it's called videodownloader, I have ver 1.1.1, the movies are saved as .flv file extension and you will need a flv compatible player...easy to find. click on Tools and then add ons, then get extensions
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
make sure you turn on view hidden files and unhide protected system files....
you may not be able to get there by exploring, so i created a shortcut (once i found the folder) on the desktop to enable me to access files that cant be directly downloaded.
Speed is life, altitude is life insurance.....
Its not a random mess... you can copy the files to the desktop, only problem is that it needs the extension.
Those files are the cache of what you have looked at on the net. All you have to do is to get the right one (either by file size, or date) give it the correct extension, and away you go.
VLC is your friend. It can play almost anything, even without the extension (which you could set later, or set vlc to open all files of that type etc etc)
As for grabbing vids, either use a download link, or videodownloader (been mentioned already), or view the source code for the src, or, some are very smart, you have to piece the source together, from variables...
fuck I need a life![]()
