just have a bike no one wnats to steal...
If you can't be good, be good at it
I generally don't find myself parking the bike for extended periods of time anywhere but in the garage.
If someone has there beady little peepers on your bike, you aren't going to stop them anyway.
Even disk locks which you can't get bolt cutter on to aren't foolproof. Mine has an audible alarm which goes off as soon as the bike is moved but when six burly men are carrying the bike onto the back of a truck, do you take them on or phone the cops and wait the three hours it takes them to arrive?
When someone wants something badly enough and they are part of an organised group, nothing will stop them. Not if but when.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

classic little britain moment;
"it's british made, made from british steel, made in britain"
on a more serious note where can I get an Almax series 4 in NZ
http://www.almax-security-chains.co.uk/
bloody hell the series 4 is almost 200 pounds sterling for JUST the chain whats that $600 kiwi...bike crime hasn't got that bad yet
So I think the moral of the story is park your bike on a slippery floor so they can't bounce on a set of croppers.![]()
A bike no one would want to steal? Well K1s are getting pretty rare so the later CBs will soon. But a friend had a rover 2000 stolen so ask yourself this question. Is my bike more or less desirable that one of those. The sad part of the story is he got it back.
The usual response to if they want it they will take it; yes they will, but
1. only if they know where you park it
2. only if it is easier to steal than something else.
People only think security is worth it after they've been hit.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
I live next guy to a guy with a harley in the garage, doubt anyone will waste their time pinching mine....
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be quoted out of context, then used against you.
unless he is stealing to order & some dodgy speedway sidecar rig is after another engine. Now what is a good solid sidecar engine? Hmm. . .
Or come to think of it maybe an unscrupulous YZF750 owner wanting to power-up their bike. Where abouts in wgtn did you say?
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
When I was a young fellow, one of my mates had a Triumph Bonneville 650 which all the gang members wanted back then.
He chained it to a steel post set in concrete in the middle of the garage floor, barred all the windos and the door and always slept with it and had a rather nasty Dobberman in the garage with him too.
Now that's dedication![]()
