BUT think about this (my humble $0.02). The camera will still take a photo of a bike that is speeding towards it. The camera can't figure out that it's a bike without a front numberplate.
If heaps of riders don't slow down (or if they deliberately speed up because they know they can't get ticketed) then the powers that be may well make us have front numberplates. Some guys I know go at warp factor going towards them because they think it's funny because they know they can't be ticketed.
If I see a mobile or know I'm going past a fixed camera, I always slow to (very close to) the speed limit, regardless of front or rear facing. (I sometimes don't see speed cameras, but that's another story!)
Be aware that there have been odd mutterings fairly recently by the powers that be about bringing back front numberplates, and we don't want to give them more ammo against us. They've been talking in Oz (Victoria I think?) about bringing back front numberplates, and we often tend to follow Oz trends in these matters.
Yes Lynda, I know we have discussed this before, I agree 100%, , IMHO the bird, monos, etc are all antagonistic (sp? Help me Hitcher)towards the Gummit camera/law makers, I too can see the possibilty of ugly front number plates coming, worth thinking about !

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
my own fault really.
