Question Need advice on YRX (?) 125

    hi folks

i'm looking at buying a a Y?RX 125 (hyosung? ) 4-stroke (?). I dont know its year or hours but it seems solid and tidy and goes well.. now how much would that be worth? the offer is $700. does this sound like a cheap deal to you guys? i found similar bikes on trademe but they seem to go for anything as $200 to $2000... i havent bought a bike before but something tells me that thats a good deal... please correct me.
How much would it coest to make it roadworty? eg. putting on lights, mirrors, speedometer etc.?

    cheers

Hyosung are teh Kawasaki ones I think?? Anyway if you just want a bike to dick around on and see if you like bikes I guess it's ok. At the end of the day its a chineese shitter. Good (ish) for some trail rides, but nothing more really. And good luck with parts!

Hyosung are a seperate entity to Kawasaki They're brought into the country by Kawasaki but that's it. On their own Hyosung are a Fuckin Huge company
As for the bike in question it's a XRX125 and in reality the motor is a dinosaur plodder that can't be killed, the rest of the bike is shite! the rear suspension sags within minutes of use, parts fall off just looking at them.
Carburation is fickle the acclerator pump has a mind of it's own & is highly sensitive which leads to the bike being a pig to start.
At our own misfortune we have to service two dairy farms that run a fleet of the damn things and the sods are always having to have something done to them.
Though in the bikes defence they do stand up to being pushed around by cattle

i have to agree with everything TWR had to say, they are a bullet proof motor but extrmely slow, the foot pegs are also rubber mounted and start to sag very quick, parts supply is ok but if its really cheap it is not a bad place to start,

It won't be worth making road legal, would rattle to bits at road speeds, let alone the sign of a dirt trail.

If you need all the manditory items for it to be legal to start with then those bits plus the all the documentation included will put the cost in excess of $300 easy.

throw a picture up of it because the XRX125 comes with full lighting (headlight, brake light, & indicators) & a speedo as standard items.

We've got 2 bikes for parts (one hasn't been used at all, it just wouldn't sell so it became a donor bike)

yes i'd put up a pic but i dont have a cam at the moment. also i'm trying to get hold of a helmet so i can drive the thing home (bout a 4 min drive) this one definitely doesnt come with all the road stuff, so i wonder what type it is then if not a xrx? i checked all over it and i didnt find any name, year or id tag of any kind except the cavallo print on the side.
