    Merry Christmas Everyone!

As many KB’ers have already said, the last few weeks have been sobering ones for us all and let’s hope that the tragedies aren’t repeated anytime soon – my thoughts go to the families and friends left behind at this time of the year.

There has been a fair bit of heated discussion on a range of topics which is entirely understandable but in the spirit of the season, I thought I’d turn it around and say something positive about KB because let’s face it, the positives outweigh the negatives by the proverbial country mile. Let's hope a few others will post some positive stuff about being a KB member here too. Like any family, we’re allowed to scrap from time to time but the good humour (even when taking the piss) and positive attitude shown in all but a handful of threads is truly outstanding. Someone once told me that I was the 10th person to join Kiwi Biker so I think the comments are made in the light of experience.

Firstly, the willingness of everyone to help each other out when they have a problem is nothing short of fantastic. The “family” atmosphere on this site is infinitely superior to the few overseas websites which I belong to. Special thanks to everyone who helped me on several occasions, mainly with I.T matters and music-related downloads rather than bike-related ones, haha. There is little doubt in my mind that KB does a huge amount to advance the cause of bikers in NZ.

Secondly, it was a genuine privilege to meet new KB members during the year, both at the Okoroire Pub ride-in and those that dropped in to our place in Coromandel for a cuppa throughout the year. Jennie and I are really looking forward to meeting up with the KB’ers who are calling in over this festive season. I look on them as friendships waiting to happen. Some KB acquaintances have developed into great friends during the year.

We’re off to Coro on Wednesday evening for a few weeks and with no Internet and only the mobile phone, I’m really looking to chilling out and going fishing in the kayak. Have a wonderful Xmas, a prosperous 2007 and stay safe.

Catch you all again in ’07.

    Geoff

You have yourself a nice relaxing break Geoff.

I will also be in Coromandel for 3 weeks, up at Port Charles for most of it (fishing, mountain biking, drinking) then down to Cooks Beach for a few days (fishing, drinking).

    Good on ya Geoff,

All the best to you and yours for the festive season.

Yes, KB has done a lot for the whole biker community. There are times when people have rubbed up others the wrong way but hey, we're all human and we all mean well in the end.

    Cheers

    Paul

    Merry Christmas everyone..

KB has opened up a whole new world for me.. being a solo parent!! Being alone every evening talking to the cat.. while little ones blissfully sleep, was getting kinda boring.. but since being on here, I have met an AWESOME bunch of likeminded souls & broadened my horizons! I also recently travelled nearly 3000ks to meet them!!! I feel like I have 'come home' being on KB.. it's like I have a whole new family.. for better or for worse.. even met my long lost dad.. aye SD!!

live it.. love it.. ride it!!

All a bit soppy I know.. but hey WTF.. it's Christmas!!!!!
