Why don't you go and test ride a few bikes at the same time instead of test riding one, buying it, test riding another, buying it??

Why get a bird over a bus or a fugly ZX14?

bird is still lighter than the CB1300 I was looking at. And the bird is quite a bit cheaper than a Bus or the 14.

    What's a new bird 15-16?

You could pick up a new bus for about 18 I'd reckon.

Or look at the Sprint ST.

I can see you on one of those big beemer things though, buy that one Titanium was selling.

    Busa

New Busa is $17,995 + on road costs down here & IMHO the best value for money but more importantly better fun.

ok, might give a bus a ride in the new year and see.

But the Beemer is a bit too much $ for a bike.

    Ya big wuss, Felix...
You won't notice the weight once you are airborne. The CB is infinately flickable, as you well know...besides do you really want a mobile jellymould? Ask yourself whether you really want to disappear into the throng with all the other GSX's, CBR's, that are out there thinking they are on a racetrack, or whether you want something that is a tad 'different' and yet just as much fun. At the end of the day, don't listen to me or all these other guys trying to spend your money...go test 'em all and get what feels right, looks right and costs right to you. Usually your first ideas are the ones you always come back to... best go buy that CB1300 then. You'll even have cash spare to "trick it up" a wee bit

BTW, you still up for shit & fips when we come up your way?

Felix, good on rear tyres (unlike the busa - got 8k from my stocks). Great build quality. Great power delivery, very smooth. Easy to ride all day. Still can mix it up a bit, sit at 6 or 7 k and wind it on - you will enjoy. 12k on my 05 now and replaced one fairing bolt that dropped out - other than that just normal services. I like the busa but the bird is a better buy for the money I think. Have not tried the XZ14 so can't compare.

Yea know what you mean, I just found the XX's engine really smooth with twin balancer shafts. And a good fairing for the wind that has always annoyed me so much on the Hornet. So I can cruise on the XX when I want to but yet go fast when needed. Thats all. The bus does look funny hence I have stayed away from them, but they say keep an open mind... so I am.

Didn't want to touch a Triumph... parts are expensive I hear.

Actually the XX was the 1st idea :P

anyway... should be around for the shit and flip when u come up. plans all up in the air with the weather being so silly.

Go try the Sprint ST. Bits arent that expensive and it's an awesome bike.
You can get a second hand one from a dealer with less than 10k on it for around $16k.
I loved it. That engine is damn nice.

Buy the Bird. They go real well for an old bike. Watch out for the linked brakes for the first couple of stops, but you'll grow to love them. And change the screen to a double-bubble. The headlight isn't too flash on windy roads, but that's getting picky. Black. Eponymous.

In some peoples eyes it's just another fat sportbike. We know better. Get it..
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

    that We do.

the bird is not as vicious as the busa, and it's a honda. i liked the bird, but i always felt i'd be sitting on it wishing i was on a busa.......

you'll need a double bubble on a bus as well
