    All packed

    And rearing to go!

Off to the Blackball Hilton tomorrow. Weather in Wellington is crap. Weather on the West Coast is fine but frosty in the morning-when real men have horrible hangovers, so what me worry!

Bike looks like it has sprung a couple of mini-skyscrapers, and I will have to wear a truss due to the unforeseen groin strain I got throwing my leg over the luggage mound. But that's OK because I'll be sitting down most of the way!

Faintly excited...lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala.....Fer ry broke down today......lalalalalalalalalal

Happy trails mate. Watch out for grit on the roads down there, rather than frosts.

    Bwahahahahah

Rest easy fellow non travellers to the south..

I dropped into the ferry terminal to say a fond adieu to the intrepid crew and the ferry is late getting in so they will be very late getting away and now I'm even gladder I didn't go...

Well... I'm still jealous as hell but those long dark cold rides at night in the south island are just a bit difficult for me these days...

I actually felt a chill on their behalf as I looked out to sea... So after a nice coffee I buggered off and left them to their fate.. Had to turn the heater up a notch in the car too....

    Cheers

One way of making ones self feel better about not going, huh Pual? Besides, unless the ferry is ultra late there should not be TOO much night travelling. Plus is the roads will be empty compared to the NI roads no matter what time of day/night you travel

First night was Blackball... Quite a hike if the ferry does not leave until !!:30 12.... Return trip will be slow (rough weather) so quite possible they won't get to Picton until 4pm....

    Cheers

All the best Jim. Happy travels.

See you when you get back...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
