    I feel validated...

Went to a fellow KB'ers place (BlueThunder, the KB'er/Ulysses guy with the fat ass C90 Boulevard) to see his sons new toy, a shiny FXR150.

turned up as said young fella (the son, not BlueThunder!) was pootling up and down the road, and as I was about to de-gear, got offered a spin.

I was amazed at how comfortable it was, and how well it handled, though the power was... well, lacking a little, but still a bloody awesome learners toy!

After I was done, I pointed to Daisy, and told Luke to give Daisy a spin down the road and back.

He leapt on, and after a minute, gave up trying to figure out where the starter button was, so I showed him how to kick start... muhahaha...

He pootled off gingerly down the road, went round a roundabout, and disappeared. He was gone a couple of minutes, and when he cam back... oh what a precious moment...

First words were "I take back everything I have ever said about 2 strokes"

    I feel validated...

If only others could experience the true power of the most obnoxious, noisy and downright rude of all bikes... what a better place it would be!

Sorry, having a proud owner moment here, I'll go get another beer and be over it shortly...

I didn't know Daisy was a two stroke. She is much more quiet and demure than Chickadees one in that case! Or am I having a blonde moment and he was comparing HIS two stroke to Daisy? Hmm. I think I need more bike experience than just K'road shops. I also need beer.

What ever have you DONE to the poor two smoker if someone thinks it's quiet and demure?

The only time I think of Daisy as quiet and demure, are right after I have turned off the ignition, and tucked her up under her blanket in the garage for the night!

    1) Young fulla?? I think I like you enough to buy you a beer.

    2) Daisy - name give to the bike by previous owners wife. Previous owners wife was the person who suggested he GIVE Daisy to me... not sell, GIVE. Caveat - keep the name, so I have.

When things go wrong, the name does vary a little... but as it's a family show, I'll leave it to your imagination...

The difference is that Chickadee revs the shit out of her 2 smoker - Daisy just gets the odd poke from time to time
