well... on christmas day, i decided it was time to see what my newly rebuilt engine could do (after i spent DAYS polishing the internals till they were stupid shiny), so i got on my bike, just me and my kit, no bag or saddlebaggies, and departed for scenic drive...
seeing as is was christmas, there way FA people on the road, so i get onto scenic drive, kick down into third and away i go... now fuck me, the bitch can pull! a free flow pipe and a rejet really make a bike perform different... i clicked into third and droped the clutch at medium revs (bout 4k?) the ol' girl climbs onto the back wheel and fucks off. so, now ive got a major grin on my face and prepare to take the twisties... first corner, sign saying 45km/h twisties, so i chuck the girl down goin bout 65 (my pegs are nice and rounded off now btw) and proceed to tackle the twisties... past piha and onto swanson. i even stopped off at an outlook to take a photoi only came across one station wagon on the way to piha and he was promptly overtaken on the first straight bit of road... the only other form of life i saw was a dude on a black honda blackbird.
now, the bike... i just rebuilt the top end, replaced standard bits and pieces (full gasket set, oil filter, piston rings, oil seals ect.) also got a bigger jet for the carb to match my new zorst...
i went through the hasle of polishing all the internals and by gollie, does the ginny move now... (compared to before). my piston is still nice and blue but the sides were polished untill i could see my ugly mug
all in all, i had a great ride, ive attached the photo (taken with my phone, so not great quality)
