The 650X doesn't look too bad (for a Hyosung), but watch that you don't cut yourself on the curves on the MRX![]()

Great looking bikes and the video is pretty good as well. Think that they will be a force to be reckoned with. I'd buy one.
spd:-)
Brit mag reviews ahve been favourable towards the Hyosung 650 range.Suzuki were rattle enough here to massively discount the SV for a while, now Suzi prices have crept up again,Hyosung have thankfully ditched the "SV clone" styling and the latest models are comparitively very cheap and look very sharp.to paraphrase a Brit bike mag talking about another model entirely the Hyosung is 99% of the SV for 80% of the money, personally I think it looks a lot better than the Suzi and the mag reports have been very, very favourable.
Wow! Hyosungs might be moving up in the world![]()

*SPB shudders *...........uuurgh they is 'orrible!!
A 1000cc V-Twin engine is in development and due to be released in a cruiser series sometime mid 2007 followed by a sports bike series. It is designed to compete with the SV1000 however it is set to have slightly more horsepower so may win the battle hands down with price and horsepower advantage.
Their current downfall would have to be the 250cc V-Twin engine, it has the potential to put out 35 HP with approximately $600 - $1,000 worth of modifications. Hopefully they catch onto this and create more powerful 250cc engines, this would definitely see them create a cult following and market domination, especially in places like New Zealand.
Any 650 owners had sticking valve issues here at all?
This issue seems to be isolated (for the majority) to North American customers and it has been suggested that bad fuel is the cause. I don't know how much truth there is to that explanation, however the last time I checked Kawasaki NZ nor any dealer in NZ who has sold a Hyosung is aware of a customer experiencing this problem.
Then again, I have heard of a guy who raced his GT650 having the engine shit itself, I don't know if sticky valves were the issue. I think motobob or keystone19 know of the guy, perhaps someone else on KB does too and can elaborate?
Not sure about the styling, but the steel trellis frame in the 650X is a step in the right direction. The steel twin spar frame in the 650GT series adds 20kg to the weight over the SV's 168kg alloy frame.
I keep getting the impression that the GT250 has the same or a very similar steel frame to the GS500. At 170kg, the GT250R is too heavy.

WHY??????????????? 35 IS NOTHING.
DIY TURBO A ZXR/CBR250 ETC OR SPEND 1K ON A 2T AND YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT WILL SMOKE A 400 WITH EASE. WASTE OF MONEY STILL TO MOST PEOPLE.
HYOSUNG IS STILL A HYOSUNG, ITS SHIT. YOU CAN PUT A DUCATI MOTOR IN IT, IT'S STILL A HYOSUNG. I WOULDN'T TOUCH IT FOR A FEW YEARS, JUST LIKE MOST NEW ASIAN MARKET PRODUCTS. DODGY THEN QC AND PRODUCTION REIFNEMENT KICKS In AND IT'S ALL GOOD. THEN THE PRICE GOES UP AS WELL.....
