Woudn't think so, my bike does not have any side reflectors, and the bike was brand new that way.

They're on for US law only I believe, you'll see all of the US market bikes have them.

LOL... I am going to paint the ZX-10 a metallic silver with a slightly higher sparkle that the normal metallic. If that does not count as one big reflector, nothing will!!!

North American market bikes have reflectors front and rear, Aussie spec bikes have one pair(either front or rear) for their ADR compliance. NZ doesn't have to have them. Look at the Euro spec press release bikes that Suzuki sell in NZ.... no reflectors, and no probs with WOF's

It'll still look black from the side exiting an unlit side street.

One of the reasons they got mandated in the US is because bike lights, front and rear aren't all that visible when the bike is 90 degrees to the traffic flow.

Interesting facts!!! I will think about it once the paint is done... But at the moment they are going to the parts bin...
