he bloody ruined the bike tho!! bugger.... I feel for the owner of the bike... "We caught the thief... but during err... apprehension, we ruined the bike"

I can't stand how these people that steal from others, cause mayhem, anguish etc, then die, go on to be described as lovely people. Piss Off!

If I was the owner of the bike, I know who I would be shouting a beer or two...

Ya just never know ...stranger things have happened.

Although the circumstances are pretty darn suspicious

People have been hit by lightning twice, they win lotto powerball

The odds of it happening at some point to someone may not
    be that unusual.....

Probably just coincidence - if it had been premeditated he'd have recognised the bike and followed the bastard home with the rest of the family following behind in order to nick back the bike, give him a talking to, maybe play the banjo and finally making him crawl on all fours while shouting "Squeal like a pig boy" and performing some unspeakable act upon the thief.

Justice would then have been served and all goods would rest with their lawful owners.
In space, no one can smell your fart.

about 20yrs ago,had a mate [in aussie now],who had an xa falcon chucked in a 307 chev [FUCKEN IDJUT],it got pinched, cops found it around the coast, put it in police yard, left the fucken keys in it,you guessed it some smart ass from coastal taranaki, flogged it,drove out the unlocked yard, meantime the first thieves pinched the stereo and cluster of gauges, consiquentley you can't go far in a chev without oil, about oeo/manaia area the car seized, moral the cops said not our fault it seized, please accept our apologies which he did with a bill to rebuild motor,i think after quite a while they paid up

    Would you?
Could you be sure the driver did not think it was you?
Wasn't reported? Is that because neither you nor your family new yet?

Just desserts to be sure. But how would you feel if you recovered your bike but before you could tell your mate he bowled you to stop you getting away?

Capital punishment has its place, at the end of a trial and an appeal process.

People who steal make me sick, but I'm not fond of unnecessary violence or vigilantism either. Catching them in the act and giving them a sound thrashing is quite different to killing someone who's identity is largely hidden by the very nature of a helmet.
