6000k! Pilot Sports! I love the variation in peoples preferences and mileages. My Ape does (only) 122hp at the rear wheel and I got 4500k out of a Conti Sportattack. I tried Pilot Sports on my FZR 750 and SV1000s. Didn't like them at all. Ended up loving Metzeler Sportecs. Stink mileage though. I'm still enjoying the Conti's but might try some Pirellis next. Each to his own. I've still got to get the last wrinkles out of my suspension though. Been thinking of passing that job onto Shaun but would like to develop the skill meself if I can be arsed. Part of the thrill of ownership.

Also, see the thread I just started about my ride to the Takas. There's some good suspension setup links in there.

Many thanks gentlemens. I have several articles on the basics and have scanned websites. My main difficulties are that I learnt to ride in the early eighties and still haven't really got past the "stop your moaning and ride the bastard" attitude that was prevalent. Also, if I'm not riding and have time to organise a mate to come and hold the bike while I sort the sags, it's time that I should be spending with family. Weak really. I'm onto it in the new year lads. Whenever I ride a sorted bike it's a bloody revelation.
