BRONZ blood run(s), annually. Only problem is that for the Blood Centre dudes to turn out y'have to be able to guarantee some minimum number of units.

You don't have 3.5L in your body, its more like 5, and you need 3.5-4 for day to day.

You are able to donate whole blood every 82 or 86 days, or something like that, but obviously easier to just remember 3 months. Plasma etc, times are different, as its the err... whatsits in your blood, that whole blood takes, and which takes time to build up... white or red blood cells, can't remember which.

Great idea Coaster!!! BRONZ do a blood run in Auckland every so often so that would be good for KBers to get involved in. One question I have is how much do you have to weigh? I have 50 kgs in my head which means I barely make the grade.
Small and dangerous with a sting in my tail!!

surely it depends on how many pies you've been packing away recently? The larger of us would be carrying more blood than others.

They won't take my blood anyways, too blue for them apparently

Gave blood for roughly thirty years ( yes I am old - and loving it ) but after my CABG ( thats an FLA for coronary artery bypass graft - might come in handy on a trivia night ) they have dispensed with my services . It was probably the only A+ I have ever got ( actually given to be pedantic ).My 17 yr old daughter gives blood so go on you big bloody sissys, surely you're not scared of a teeny weeny needle are you.
