    One of those days ....

Have you ever had one of those days when, the sun is shining and you think to your self, " Hey, I the kids are away. I might take the wife out for a ride."

Only to find when you go to top up with gas, that your pack rack fell off some where back up the road?

Went back to look, but ... No, was nowhere to be seen, Bugger.

If any of your KBer's saw or found a venture pack rack lying around SH16 between Kaukapakapa and Wellsford, could you let me know?

Other than that, a fantastic day for a ride, with the usual sitting in their same spots ... some things never change.

Hope we all stayed safe out there this New Years weekend, pissed I couldnt make it to the BBQ on the coast, but these things happen.

The funniest sticker ive ever seen on a Guzzi said "If you can read this, the bitch has fallen off"

Funniest thing I read on a Guzzi was "If you can read this then the bike hasn't fallen apart yet"

Pukuriri - how did the pack rack fall off? Was it the slip-in part that holds the pack or was it more than that? Loose screws? Breakage?

Loose nuts ... go figure. Must have been in a rush to get out the door. Was the slip in part, the lock nuts werent so locking.

    The usual spots on 16?

    You really have to ask?

Saw 1 in the gravel pit at West Coast Road, sitting, waiting ... lol

I came thru there (SH16) late avo new years day and saw a pack rack on the road side......unfortunately I don't know the road well enough to tell you where.
I'll have a look on a map and see if any of it makes sense.

Coming from wellsford it was on the left on a right hand (gentle) corner sitting up on the verge, clearly visible.

All I need now is a map!

Right, found a map but not a lot of help. It was in the part between Wellsford and Kaipara flats road, I think....
All I can suggest is a slow ride along and a careful lookout, as I said above it was clearly visible when I went past.

    Good Luck
