Safety vests with LED lights in them

Oh... I have blue LED's in my car... they dont face out the front windscreen... more across the dash... (Pretty quick n easy to flick them off tho)... Have never been told off when pulled over n left them on...

What about the LED valve caps?? I have blue ones on my bike too... Would be hard to say that they face forward?...

The ticket would be invalid, the cop would know this, and so I highly doubt it would happen anyway. If in the unlikely event of you getting a ticket for it, a simple letter to Wellington would have the ticket overturned. The law is quite clear about the lights being on the vehicle...ie not the person.

Cops are only human, even they make cock ups!

Lamps that need to comply need to comply - those that don't have to comply don't have to comply.

eg....you need a rear reflector that complies with the regulation....and then you can cover the back of your bike with as many non complying reflectors of any colour you like.And you can stick silly purple lights on your windscreen washers,they don't have any regulations to cover those....
