I chased the sun, I got burnt. Interesting taking photos. You pull over, everyone passes you. You pull out, you pass everyone.
Apparently the third photo is a closed road. Not open to the public. Only found that out on the return trip, but damn its the fastest way to Ohope. I would do it again since it is a private road and you know what that means![]()
Great photos. Great spot! (but them I'm biased).
Used to use a lot of the forestry roads when I was going to Whakatane regularly. Most of them are better than highway 1 (although that's probably not hard). No one ever questioned me and shortened the journey LOTS. Got to know which gates are closed though!(bugger, bugger, bugger.......)
