Hole in the road on the North shore

For anyone who rides over the North shore, you may have been up Esmond Road just past the new Esmond road and Barry's point road junction and seen the storm grate below the road in the riding line on the left lane towards Takapuna.
The road has been reconfigured and where it used to be a curb with a storm drain, its now a road with a storm drain in the right side wheel track in the left lane, its sunk about 3 or 4 inches below the road, I just missed it to day, had I hit it, it would have done some serious damage. Its obvisouly not permenant, but it is there at the moment. Hopefully no bike will hit it.

Haha, if someone posted up a list of all the serious holes in the road around here it would be 5 pages long...

    Only 5???
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I was going to post abut this one. It looks f'k'n nasty, and I wouldn't bet on it not being permanent, either.

It looks deep enough that if your front wheel entered it, it might not come out again.

Does anyone know who to ring to complain about things like this?
