Hmm, is it the (christmas) Toy Run that gets the TV coverage? I've definitely seen something on TV with a big charity event that closed the motorway...

Should have crossed the Kaimais and headed into the Waikato mate. Nothing but sun there all day.

I'll be heading down via the Silvia Park on-ramp, if anyone wants to tag along could meet up at BK (for brekkie!) and then cruise down from there?

If it's like the Christmas toy run I did up there in 05 I don't think you'll even see that speed.
Probably had a third as many bikes at the toy run than will be at this thing.

Don't worry the bikes are sheparded by the cops, and speed is only round 50ish, if that.

You'll be fine, and have a jolly good time. And its a nice social thing at the end, much better than the Toy run where everybody just pisses off after the speech.

Might try and make it this year. Does this mean I have to clean my bike...? Might know a few who may also want to come along.
