I used take my dirtbike for little tests up the driveway after I had done work on it, I would end up crossing the road and blasting down the firebreak. MX boots, shorts, tshirt, sunglasses, baseball cap backwards to stop it falling off at 130kmph. Dumb. I blame the parents

There's a guy commuting in my neighbourhood on a red large capacity bike, wears a helmet, jacket and gloves but the cake is ... wears shorts nearly all year round
Not sure if he wears bike boots or general purpose work boots.

fucking hell, look after yourself, maybe educate a few people on wearing gear,
but dont fucking come onto a forum full of bikers complaining about some chump in jandals,

Agreed.

If someone doesn't want to wear gear, that's their choice. You'll find a good number of them are probably fully aware of the dangers/consequences and choose to do it anyway. For some people the fun of riding a bike is lost when wrapped from head to toe in leather.

i live out in a rural area not to far from hamilton and see three farm workers racing around at least 5-6 times daily on trail bikes to quads doing at least 70-80kph always in shoes ,shorts, t-shirts and NEVER seen a helmet on them

I lived in a rural area for 18 years, it's a very small number of people that wear helmets on their own property. I know I don't. The beauty is no-one tells you off, or gives you queer looks. It's the best.

Yep there appears to be a large amount of Under dressed idiots and oblivious morons out there.

I started this thread with a view to us letting off steam at some of the stupidity out there and so maybe noobs who drop in can read some examples of what not to do (and the consequences).
