Sidecar meeting 14th Jan Rosebank speedway.

North Island Champs I think. This is a Bill Buckley event,he used to be a sidecar rider himself and usually puts on a good meeting. There will be solo's too, juniors and maybe 1/4 midgets, but the main focus will be sidecars.

Super aggressive action motorsport right in the heart of Auckland city,a relaxed atmosphere and right in there close to what's going on.Racing starts at 1.00pm.

Wonder if Blondini has spotted this thread..... she may want to go to it.

Her man was a swinger on sidecars before he passed away.

This is not the nth island champs (they are in kihikihi)But this is a special sidecar meeting and they are trying to organize a lot of sidecars ...so this could be better than the auck champs.Sure to be action Might even travel on the bike myself.

Nah. go figure ...It was cancelled due to too much water on the track overnight hmmmmm not sure what happened to the good ol days when they brushed the water off the track and sent a couple of sidecars out to clear some water also??????It was a perfect day to race and plenty of sidecars travelled from afar to get here

They usualy got the guys in the vintage midgets to wheel pack for them. They used to get pissed off because it was hard to clean the cars afterward.A little bit of commitee infighting and they went off and made their own track. They could of used the 1/4 midgets....but the kids parents are too rich and might complain.I'd be happy to wheel pack for them - I reckon I could get the Pajero well crossed up around there....
