    Mike Hailwood life story

    Mike Hailwoods life story and racing career is to be made into a full length feature film in Hollywood. It will include his 1978 TT comeback on the Ducati.
    Should be good if they use original footage. No word yet on who will play the lead.... Any guesses??:

    He is normally prohibited from riding his bikes during filming , guess they would have to drop that bit from his standard contract....

    Excellent. Another childhood hero for him to crap all over. Why not get Charlie Boorman in to voice a rastafarian animatronic Barry Sheene while you're at it?

    Be quite good to get the message driven home about how shit Kiwi drivers are.
    If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

    ....................

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A9405119

    Hailwood returned to the UK to run a bike dealership in Birmingham, as well as helping out various old friends with things such as road safety talks. On Saturday, 21 March, 1981, Mike Hailwood set off in his Rover car with his children Michelle and David to collect some fish and chips. He returned along the A435 through Portway. A truck was making an illegal turn though the barriers in the central reservation. The Rover hit it. Michelle was killed instantly; Mike and David were taken to hospital. Mike died two days later. The lorry driver was fined ?100. Mike Hailwood was 41.

    One degree of seperation;

    Ewan McGregor- owns a Moto-Guzzi Griso

    Mike the bike- Moto-Guzzi test and development rider

    Good choice, a prosthetic nose may be required for some authenticity as Mike's hooter was like the Guzzi bird beak fairing, huge. Perhaps it aided in arodynamics, maybe it gave him an edge.

    He was my hero as a nipper and I was so ashamed he came to die in NZ, and I just checked my library and the book said he died here, maybe the book is wrong
