Tell me about the internal throttle cables... where does the cable run? Is it run inside the handlebars and out near the trees?

Usually that's the idea.

Hi, yes my throttle design expands inside the bars to locate, run the cable inside and as my bars are 2 piece the cable just runs thru the one tube. Some guys drill a hole near the tree to feed the cable out.
I should have some for sale soon on Trademe as a kit.

I assume they're available as an internal clutch assembly too? I think it's Russell Mitchell that does the internal stuff on his custom bikes?

THat one he modified an internal throttle to fit the clutch.
Would work for you folks that don't have hydraulic clutches.

The difference is that the clutch side has to be RH spiral rather than LH.
In practice the clutch side usually are a pain as the effort to pull the clutch cable without some mechanical advantage to operate the clutch springs is difficult to overcome.
