18 inch hoop - advice wanted

I need a rear tyre for my CBR400 race bike.

It has a Bridgestone 010 on which was great but I think they are obsolete now. I don't know if Bridgestone stil make an 'equivalent' tyre - I don't like 014's.

Can anyone with a good knowledge of tyres, particularly for a race 400 please offer some advice on which tyre I should get ?

    Size is 150/70/18

Pretty sure Dunlop make a GPR40 in that size mate....I'll have awee look for you.
I rode on them at Wanganui....didn't use tyre warmers and they were quite ok. For four laps anyway!

The difference between a 150/60/18 and a 150/70/18 is how much air you put in them.

I didn't think that they still made GPR70's but I would be pretty keen - I will have to chase up some suppliers.

    Cheers Pete

GPR A10 I was running a GPR 70 on mine. The A10 is the supercession, and is supposed to be shitloads better.

When you have a set, I'd like to try them out.

Correct. And there's a thread on here with RRP on it.

Try to get a 17 inch Deano and then you will get a range of tyres to choose from . I run a 17 inch on mine and there are a few models that will go straight in to the swingarm using the same caliper as well. All you need to do is get a wheel with disc and sprocket carrier fitted.
    Like cbr400 nc29, nsr250 and the like.
Ring if you need to get more details. Im in the book or get the details from Paul .W .
    Cheers mate
