Good luck buying ANY other race rubber for a Sports Production 250 or a pre 92 ZXR400. The GPR70 was THE tyre to have on those bikes, and the GPRa10 is a 15 year jump in tyre compound/construction.
Besides, that's RRP, not what a decent dealer will sell them for.

I'm sure the Bridgestone BT-090 is cheaper than that.

Send me a set of those new Dunlop thingys and I'll do a comparison for you.

yeah those prices are fine anyway for what you're getting... sheeish. only problem is that the c model zxr250 has an 18"rear and the gpr 70's of old used to fit okay (as far as i can remember) then they didn't for some reason make the 18"and now the new ones don't either. damn.

zx2r stock is as follows 110/70 17" front and a 140/60 18 on the rear.

gpra 10 sp 110/70 front and a gpr100 rear is the way to go it seems, at least they come in 18"". youd probably not want to oversize with the new 10sp just like the 70 or ya on ya **** real suddenly when the lean gets decent...

    BT-090 comes in a 150/60R18. Best fit to 4.5" inch rim, but I guess a ZXR250 comes with a 4" rim..?

    I'm looking at the
    110/70R17 GPRA-10 SP RACE,
    140/60R18 GPRA-10 SP RACE or
    140/60-17R GPRA-10 SP ROAD

I'd be interested is prices when you get them.

can't rememberoff the top of my headmiiiight be 4.5 whateveritis gpr70 150's are oversized and curve too much on the extremities causing lossof traction.

Sorry but it appears those 2 prices above were wrong (they were excluding GST). Here's the full price list I have including GST (remember these are RRP):

    110/70R17 GPRA-10 SP RACE $261.80
    120/60R17 GPRA-10 SP RACE $263.50
    140/60-17R GPRA-10 SP ROAD $331.50
    150/60R17 GPRA-10 SP RACE $297.50
    160/60R17 GPRA-10 SP RACE $365.50
    140/60R18 GPRA-10 SP RACE $297.50
    150/60R18 GPRA-10 SP RACE $367.20
Kiwibiker members qualify for a 10% discount on Parts and Accessories (items already on special excluded) from Phils Motorcyle Centre in Morrinsville (offer not available at other branches)
