go for a photo, they are always a good laugh.
but i would contact the westpac and arrange an electronic transfer over the net, then you can do it yourself. should be the cheapest option depending on your bank fees. but make sure that you get a confirmation of payment form the bank.
yeah... sorry bro, i thought that ment miles 'n hour.

Just to add to this thread. See the latest money gathering idea is to make the rental companies collect dorect from the customers bank card any speeding fines. Alledged it will raise a firther two mill a year.

I assume you paid the first fine by your personal cheque. Hold off on the second fine until you get proof, you are entitled to it. Keep copies of your letters in case.

You can also write to them and say you would like to pay. But ask them HOW. Leave the ball in their court, if they can't sort it out then its their fault.

They might be able to charge your credit card, its not likely they'll accept a cheque in GBP anyway. Or that the bank will process it.

    Thumbs down OH dear.............

think I spoke too soon. Got this in the post this morning! Without a doubt its me!!!

I did pay the smaller of the fines that I was actually stopped for with a british cheque. I haven't had a reminder for that one so I can only presume it was okay.

I shall have to delay paying this one for as long as possible as I am forking out £165 to pay for my car tax today

Thanks for all your help guys, and yes its nice to have a little souvenier, albeit a very expensive one! $170
