    Welcome PI.

Enjoy your new bike. You'll have to show us the lines over Takaka Hill sometime - I hear it's pretty good riding thereabouts...

Welcome to the loony bin Ivy... remember keep your hands in the vehicle at all times and don't feed the inmates, it only encourages them....

    Nice bike BTW!

Welcome to where madness is a fashion accessory...

Plenty of us in the South Island, you'll find that loads of us end up quite some distance from home just for the hell of it, so if you play your cards right you might just be able to meet up with someone. I've always wanted to ride the Motueka Valley Highway, have driven it many times but never ridden it. Trouble is with being in Christchurch is that the port hills and Akaroa are so close and so good... the biggest motorbike playground in New Zealand (arguably) and right at our back door.

Always good to have more ladies joining the site too... shows that riding a motorbike isn't restricted to just us guys! If you remember one thing from this, remember this: ride as though everyone on the road is out there to kill you, because most of them pretty much are. In saying that, ride safe, have fun!
Soapbox house of cards and glass, so don't go tossing your stones around.
You musta been.... high. You musta been...

Plenty of KB'ers around Nelson, but they're all stoned at the moment.

    No, it's a necessity...

    Pics!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Finally got a warrant and rego on my bike today so I have been riding it around for the first time today. I did stall it a bit but hubby tweaking the idle helped with that (it was stalling with the clutch in!) Once I had 1st sorted out I was away!!! Fun fun fun!

Here are some pics ..... check out the crusty piece of crap it was when we bought it (check out the hideous front guard!).

Now it is a sexy silver beastie .... best of all, my riding gear is all colour co-ordinated now

Wot he said! We're not all mad as hatters in here, though you may find it a challenge to work out the differences!

Nice job on the bike! Quite talented, aren't we? How you enjoyin' ridin' it?

Okay so it was my hubby who painted most of it!! Haha!

I love riding it, my wrists and hands are a bit sore but I'll get used to it. MUCH more fun than a scooter!!!

    Maybe I'll try a 100km zone tomorrow

    (70km/hr limit, what limit)
