Training day
I'm normally a law abiding citizen you understand,
but I've been having a few ummm encounters(?) with less than sympathic revenue collectors. A couple more instances have been rather too close for comfort, so I figured I'd invest in a radar detector from cartertonryan. In due course an Escort X50 arrived and was wired up today. I played around tonight trying to programme it, only partially sucessfully, then went for a test drive.
Coming down the home stretch some chirps from the detector so I slowed down feeling silly because I couldn't see anything. The detector though became very insistent and eventually a
came into view.
I am very grateful to said member of the constabulary for providing invaluable familiarisation training for my new detector.
It's a shame about how the detector totally blocks the rev counter from view but I suppose if that means I actually spend time looking at the speedo that is some kind of a plus and another way of avoiding tickets.
As for cartertonryans pricing; my local dealer was asking for contact details today, I got the impression that the price I paid for the detector is less than what he pays his wholesaler...
Now, a new mantra, I must not get overconfident....
