One of the reasons I prefer NZ. Try biking in Aus in full gear in 42 degrees! I winced when I saw sportsbikes on the open road at speed with the rider dressed in a T! Don't know what the answer is without resorting to liquid cooled riding gear, which would be cumbersome for the Cops.

What do our resident Aussie bikers do?

Yea but when you do crash, your gonna wish you did have that gear on. hours on end sweating in gear is paid-off in those few seconds when it's needed.

Yeah, here in the "Territory" there is little regard for safety/protective wear!
Bike cops are in trousers and short sleeve shirts too, must be the heat!
Majority of riders ride without jackets, lot with shorts and a few with jandals....
I was asked one day why I had leathers on in such hot and humid conditions.... My reply: "My tolerance to heat is a lot higher than my tolerance to pain!"

    Take care out there

id say sitting on the side of the road with a laser gun could get quite hot in bike gear!

Obviously far better riders than the KB average, being able to corner like that without crashing.Maybe they don't have the need for safety gear.

What you guys complaining about at least they have closed shoes on unlike the legend on the motorway doing about 120 in jandals short and tshirt on a 400 weaving in between traffic like he's the next ghost rider!

Mate your a fucken legend you pay alot of money for ACC so might as well use all of it and then some more!

He was doing real well and he was not the only cop doing it, there was 3 of them.
I had the other 2 pic's and do not know where they are now.
They all looked the same until you looked real hard and could see that the riders were different and the bikes were on a different part of the road.
