Question What price could I expect to get?

Hi I have a 1988 Yamaha XJ 600 in fairly good condition, it has a rattle in the motor which a bike shop tells me is the Primary Drive Chain and not to worry about it. I'm considering selling it as I'd like to get a new bike but not too sure what sort of price I would get for it.
Does anyone have any idea? There is a photo of it on my profile if you want to have a look at it.
My brother KickingZebra thinks it would be worth $3-$4000 I'm not so sure myself, I know car prices but not really knowledgable on bike prices.
    Thanks guys.

I'd say $1500-$2500, having sold a few bikes of similar vintage and condition.

    PM on itsway too.

$2500 in good condition, less for average. Good bikes they were too.
