Welcome to the site mate.
Now where can I get myself some tassles?![]()
Good to see some new life in the old iron. How's the mono shock arse end working on the old girl?
geez Dan, we not only have to work on your navigation skills, but we are going to have to teach you something about classic motorcycles.

From the looks of it, Jonboy's GSX1100 has has some pretty serious mod work done to it. They originally had a twin shock rear end and a pretty spindly front end, this is what a standard one looks like.
Welcome aboard Jonboy, what else has been done to your machine??
What else has been done........( sharp long intake of breath in preparation for information deluge ), well at the front it has a 17" CMA aero wheel 120/60 tyre, standard forklegs with Whitepower Progressive springs, 3 1/2" over stock width wide glide billet HE30 alloy yokes with wheel spacers to match, GPz 750 clockset, XJ 650 headlamp, Tomasselli h/lamp brackets, standard front brakes with braided hose, Rentec stainless bars and a GSX 1000 katana push/pull throttle. Bodywork is an 1100 EF tank, homemade seat and side panels, unspecified front muddy. Rear end is GSX-R 1100 H swingarm with GPz 600 R air shock, 17" CMA aero wheel 160/60 tyre, standard rear brake caliper with braided hose, frame has been extensively braced and modified, Engine - Flowed head with inlet port diameter matched to carbies, 33mm Mikuni smoothbores, 1170 Wiseco high compression pistons, balanced welded and lightened crankshaft, weight matched conrods, billet clutch, GSX 750 oil pump gears, Harris downpipes and collector with homemade endcan and midpipe.
All above work apart from specialist engine work and welding is all done by me.
Bike is currently apart and undergoing extensive reconstructive surgery. Watch this space......
I have owned this bike for the last 20 years and it is obviously a huge part of my life.
Jon.

Haha, not just a motorcyclist but an enthusiast, good effort mate.
I love these older hot rodded bikes, and for some reason you seem to see a few more of them in the UK, dunno why.
Cool bike mate, and there are so many out there that would say don't spend money on it but rather get a new bike - The thing is once you fall in love with a particular bike - it is just pure fun keeping it and doing the odd mods - Well done. - I really enjoy my sv650s and am thinking of doing some mods on it - Already done the pipe etc.
