They're called dual compound, and mostly used for touring.

From experience I've had no problems with them, just have to give them a little while to warm up before getting too fresh in the corners.

That would be an awesome service... Suzuki NZ constantly fly a 707 over NZ with a look down radar identifying the coppers, sending updates via a HUD to the riders

Its more of a 'giant map holder' than anything else...

    First Minty Moment

Well had my first 'minty moment' on it this afternoon....

Behind a car at the swanson round-a-bout, he started to pull away.. ..i looked up to check for a gap too, and began to move off, looked down and argh! he's stopped! bang on the brakes and pulled in the clutch, locked the front wheel and the revs screamed up. i stopped about an inch away from the cars bumper... ...woah... dam those brakes are good! never locked the front before!

Much better! The previous owner of mine also stripped and polished the grab-rail which really sets it off.

    enjoy

the bike. I have had a great deal of fun out of mine...when it hasnt been blowing a constant gale down here. I fitted mine with twin Pirelli Sports Demons and once run in, they have given the bike extremely quick 'reflexs' to avoid pot holes etc. Of course my eons of experience help too. I am selling mine but do recommend the bike as a great step up for a newbie/recent full licence rider.
