Clivoris is correct; indicate left just before your exit is the law.

    Cool

Colapop - Sorry to hear about your accident, glad to hear that you are ok.

So you were following him from behind?
He moved to the right and then indicated to turn left as he was turning?
and then turned left right in front of you?

Hmmmmm if it was this way...... could be a hard call by the cops.
    Reason you were behind him.

So be prepared for a fight from the other side's insurance company.

Many car drivers do this..... and it is so frustrating when they do it.....
Same as many pull right over to the left of the roadside and turn right.

OK, couldn't imagine the Honda was giving trouble. Does he not watch his fuel gauge and warning light or doesn't the Hornet have those?

You only indicate right when approaching a roundabout if you are going right (like taking the third exit on a four road roundabout) I've seen cagers indicate right and then go straight ahead since I got to New Zealand - I think it;s a result of some ham fisted wording in an earlier campaign to educate kiwis on the niceties of indicating at roundabouts.

Shame a lot of people haven't got the hang of it yet - makes roundabouts so dangerous - I've nearly been wiped out 3 times by going stright past a car that all of a sudden was taking the same exit as me without there being enough space!

Ok, guess Im doing it wrong. I indicate right until I exit, when I then indcate left to get out. No ambiguity. Everybody knows where Im going.

I don't want to be a negative prick but i am tonight, if you undertake a car and they turn into you I wouldn't see that as solely their fault.

If they aren't indicating right (or stopped) then you can't pass......

Yeah, he could get a careless charge for lack of indicating, but would that necessarily imply fault (eg if i jumped on my brakes on the motorway i might get a careless or dangerous charge but would i be liable for the guy that drives into the back of me?)

As crashe said, expect a bit of a fight.

    [Edit:] Glad youre ok CP.

He can fight all he wants. I'm not going to do anything til the police have made a decision. If I freak about it then it's just stress I don't need.

I'm outa greenies so I'll just thank all of you for your support.

Hopefully, the police dont take as long as they took, for them to make a decision, as they did on my case. (8 months I waited)

    Just be patient and wait.

Glad you are okish Col... thats a good attitude to take... waste of time worrying too much about it. Go have a drink... you deserve it. Unless you have concussion or something then its bad.. go and have a glass of water.
