Clarification: It's no indication going into the roundabout then indicate left if going straight ahead. Right indication only ever if going right of the opposing lane.

Sorry dude, but why were you following him so close? the 3 second rule applies so that if somone has to brake/move like a dickhead, you don't smash into him.

Its very easy to ignore this rule around the suburbs. Remeber this rule ias well as the 3 second rule, "your a dick if you over take in the suburbs/citys."

Overtaking somone in the suburbs/citys is not going to get you to your destination quicker, only running reds will. (but don't do it)
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

    3 way roundabout

Give way to all traffic that will cross your path from your right as you enter the roundabout
Signal left as you pass the exit before the one you intend taking.
On multi-lane roundabouts, you also need to approach and enter the roundabout in the correct lane for where you intend to exit"
What is the rule for three exit roundabouts? Do you indicate if exiting the second exit, which in many roundabouts can effectively be straight through? Coming from the other direction it is first left and few people indicate.
    Here for the ride.

I wasn't following that closely. I came over the crest over a hill and he was slowing at that time. I also slowed while approaching him and moved slightly to the left to avoid the possible obstruction (Ha!). Unfortunately he turned directly across my path, indicating only at the time of turning.

Yeah I was. The law clearly states that you are not allowed to pass on the left. It says that you may pass only when the way is clear. I checked.

Bad news indeed and its all to common that the biker gets the shafting for undertaking or something. Stand yer ground, he didn't indicate early enough and he moved right to turn left confusing you..Have fun

    Yeah I think so...?

    Just an update..
The insurance company are taking me to court to recover costs. I have all my evidence ready and will go to court to fight them (ok it's more like arbitration - but I'll call it court) If they win I will pay them off.. $1/month if I can... unless the court orders a full settlement.

All the best matey when it comes to the hearing! I know you'll do a spiffy wind-up and a closing along the lines of Boston Legal! "Hi, I'm Colapop..."
"I like to ride anyplace, anywhere, any time, any way!"
