Well... I'm lost, where the hell were we? was an awesome ride rain included.
Thanks for sorting it all out people, good to catch up with those I'v already meet and too meet the new members.

Now the truck story... I was folowing Jim on a narrowish back kinda road, we hauled around a right hander after passing a 4x4 with a woman standing beside the car, a artic with flat bed trailer came around seeing Jim and me hauled the brakes on as he ws moving at a decent pace, I expected him to have crossed the center line were the rest of the bikes were, but then he noticed the 4x4 half way out on the rd, I saw dust n shit in my mirrors an thought here we go... some how the truck driver did fucking well full credit to him... he chose to take the 4x4 out not the bikes, some how he got the trailer side ways and stoped 500mm from the 4x4, thats fucking well done cos he would have ened the silly bitchs day including her kids, or ours, I bet ya she will never stop on a corner again.

Right of again today dont know were I'm just going to follow AJ and BB... hoo roo
    cheers DD

Bloody Hell..... Trucks and mayhem... You just have to love those country roads!

Sorry I didn't keep on with you folks but in the end it turned out to be the right decision because I had bloody fantastic weather all day. and I met my neighbour coming up the hill just after I left you so I turned around and went back up again....

David was on his 1952 Matchless 500cc single and it boogies along great up to about 90kph then she gets a bit wheezy so we took the back roads from the bottom of the hill through Whitemans Valley to Silverstream whee we caught up with a work mate who has just got his 1930 Stardard 'Flying 12' going. Man - what a cool car! Anyway - David knew his neighbour so we had a jolly old time before heading back over the Paekakareki Hill road at flank speed, two old brit bikes bellowing soot and sound all over the show - scaring the horses and pissing off the Audis...

Fired up the BBQ - steak and beer - perfect....

That was my first "kiwibiker ride". Damn good.

    Thanks to:

    * Jim for telling me to go (and organising, and navigating).
    * The riders in front of me for teaching me stuff (I was right on the edge of my experience/ability for some of that ride).
    * The rider(s) behind me for not laughing.

Apologies for misjudging my fuel. Lesson learned.

Dunno 'bout the TL's; but I stalled twice myself. Not as bad as the centre line I completely crossed on one corner; better emabrassed than, well, other stuff.

One good thing about being at the back; when I passed that truck and 4x4 I had no idea what had gone on. I did wonder why the farmers were staring.

Circumnavigated the Tararuas twice before on my Z. Turns out much better with other riders.

    Cheers,

Cheers for the ride everyone, nice to meet you all. Might see you at a few more hopefully... If I'm allowed out again

Sigh, a sleep in, big brekky of pancakes in Carterton, home to a BBQ and beer, missed out on seeing the cousins screaming kids all day, they arrived when I left and left when I arrived... So disappointed.

    Sedge.

Well good you guys made it up our way in the Sunny Bay today (although there's some solid rain going on outside now, but its OK its dark time). Had a great ride up to Whangamata with a quick one at the Mount beforehand, was pretty busy over there today. Weather was premo and after we left you guys at Whangamata we had an excellent blast over to Kopu. Great to have Wickone and Wicktwo along as well returning back to Dorkland after two days of sanity with DMNTD. Here are some pic's for your journey diary.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Sheeeet. The $OB had it's annual wash too. I was quite depressed once back in Te Aroha.

There's definately a "house cooling" happening BTW. Found out the good news yesterday evening.
