That quite funny and apt; I looked up about joining teh fire service today and it says you can get in with criminal records ..maybe.. BUT.. BUT if you've been done for arson.. forget it!

So i read on.. and it tells you how much these fire service type people earn a week.. $700. Who the fuck would want to join the fire service for that pay unless they liked fires.. i ask ya??!! catch 22??

Going to an Up Helly Aa in the shetlands is one of the things I want to do in my life.

I'm of scottish/viking descent, and my best mate & his family are of shetland descent. Dunno about your way dover but theres a decent sized shetland society in wellington, or at least was when I lived there.
