    Red lights are for conformists.

its a bit like how red arrows are just for asians. ay

American dad: So you just pound on it for two minutes until your done?

Tsk. And Tut. I cannot condone such a dangerous and anti social response to red lights

Why can't you do as I (and innumerable treadlies do). just pop up on the footpath for a moment, and hang a flat U tuirn in the cross street ? much more law abiding.

That's just wank. Why on earth wouldn't he do something ? No wonder there are cop bashing threads.

Just had a red light runner hit a car on the cnr Lichfield and Madras this morning. Now I have to get blood off my pants, bloody flesh bags cant handle a bit of an accident. And they had the audacity to thank me. PAH!
Yes, Madras is tough, not much of a view to look deep into Lichfield and the rest.

I was taught that if I was one of the first 2 or 3 cars at the lights I should keep the car in 1st with the clutch in and use the handbrake. Similar to the bike really (except use the rear brake).
I was taught to save the clutch, and the clutch cable. Also, to stay out of gear in case of getting shunted into opposing traffic. I had a clutch cable go ping on me once. Stuck in stop-go traffic on the way to Leuchars air show in Scotland. Old Ford Fiesta. AA man fixed it with a tie-wrap.

And if they aren't running the red then they're doing 70 and 80 in the 100 zone or 40 in the 50 zone......
