    Hi all (fjones)

Just wanted to say hi, as I have been reading the forums for a bit but never joined until today. Booked my BHS today for 2 weeks time and now just trying to decide on a 250cc bike to get. Am looking at a new or newer VTR250, as both myself and my wife will be learning to ride and using for the next year. Any thoughts on this?

Welcome in. I have heard the VTR are great bikes for learning on, but can't say from personal experience. Have fun

    Welcome Guys
Picked a great time to start, Wx is great, Evenings are nice and long.
We have a great little group of learners and mentors that get together at Westgate on a Wednesday night for some training and a wee ride followed by lots of talking. We would love to see you there.
VTR250's are great, I had mine for a couple of years, even on a full licience. Rode it from one end of the country to the other (well, as far up as Auckland any way)

A good bike to start on, my son has an older VT250Fg, easy to ride and plenty of torque for a little bike so doesn't have to be riden hard to get to the speed limit
