    A Bikers prayer

Friend sent this on to me today. Probably an oldie you've all seen, but thought it was worth posting.

    Safe Journeys to All

May the sun rise in front of me, May the rain fall behind me and the wind follow me. May the angels of my brothers and sisters who have gone before me guard my travels, for they know the perils of the road ahead of me. Keep me safe through the rough city streets on my way to the land of the swirling turns and rolling hills. Let the turning colors of fall keep me warm. Let the eagle guide me to the mountain tops. Let the moon’s light guide me through the night. May my tires not fail me, nor my engine grow old. May my bike draw life from the streams I pass. Keep my seat soft and my mind sharp. Let the air of spring breathe life into my soul, to journey into another adventure beside my brothers and sisters. Amen
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ...

    "WOW!! WHAT A RIDE!"

Very nice, needs more irony and cynicism.

A more usual bikers prayer is:

    Phark me.

Doesn't take as long to say when someone pulls out in front.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

    How about this:

    Safe Journeys to All

May the sun rise behind me and cast glare into the eyes of the oncoming trucks, may the rain at least fall for long enough to clean the crap off the road and the wind not pick up suddenly as I cross a bridge. May the angels of my brothers and sisters who bought it after overcooking a corner guard my travels, for they might have noticed the cowpat just beyond the hedge. Keep me safe through the rough city streets on my way to the land of the unexpected rural WOF checkpoints. Let the turning colors of fall remind me that my glove seams are tearing and no longer waterproof. Let the seagull not shit on my new leathers. Let the moon’s light not go behind a cloud, because these fifty watt headlights suck goats. May my squared-off tyres not provide a deceptively stable ride right up until that sharp corner, nor my engine resent the fact that I never quite get around to changing the oil. May the streams I pass provide water sufficiently unpolluted to avoid entirely destroying my radiator after a stone holes and empties it in the middle of nowhere. Keep my seat cover unspoiled by the excretions of panic and my mind untroubled by the obvious corrugations on the turn ahead. Let the air of spring breathe the scent of sheep dung into my nostrils, as I journey to another middle-of-nowhere pub that decides to close half an hour before I get there. Amen.
