I love the smell of Echium lycopsis in the morning. Mr Paterson didn't, apparently.

No error there. The legal speed is 50km/h, the recommended speed is 55 km/h and the safe maximum speed is 88 km/h. Its just a pity the same honesty isn't applied in 100 km/h areas.

There is a corner just south of Waikouiti (or however you spell it) where the inside of the corner has a speed rating of 75km/h on it, and going the other way around it has the outside speed of the corner at 65km/h. I'm still yet to work that one out

well i think its all made that you generally aren't supposed to go that much over 100 so there aren't many 85-100 warning signs in the 100k zones but this is basically for speeders who they know you might be going through at 80-100 but be careful and take it at 55 sort of thing
Whats that star?, its the deathstar, what does it do?, it does death!

if the corner gets tighter they will put a slower recommened, however going the other way the corner opens out and therefore a higher speed

I know about the Echium lycopsis, but who is Mr Paterson? Is he the person (ir)responsible for eradicating these from the highways and byways of the McKenzie Country?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

I'd blame all the shitty cold weather, poor Mr Sign man was working as fast as he could ,so he could get back into his nice warm van and could't give a dead rats arse what the sign had on it.

    E. lycopsis has three common names: In New Zealand it is called Vipers Bugloss; in most parts of Australia it is referred to as Paterson's Curse; and in South Australia it is commonly known as Salvation Jane.
