In my experiance mate if you are in any doubt about your purchase then you should walk away and give it some more thought.

I think you have chosen wisely.

what was the price, id probably pay for an 89 with that many k's in amazing condition, and nothing wrong with it, about 3k. but knowing it has problems and will need some work maybe 2k at the most. as it will need work soon.
and ya will be chasing it to get things fixed all the time.
not a matter of when will it get from a to b, it will get get from A to B or when will it break down.

Doncha hate that? So close, but yet so far to get that special bike! Big ups to all those who are giving sage advice (dizzam, why didn't I find out about this site before I did my shopping around :slap: )

kneescraper, take your time - plenty of bikes in that wide world of two wheels of freedom It just makes the pleasure of finally pootling around on it even more special

And you never know who may end up riding into your neck of the woods just to test out the repairs on a little ol'Hornet!

I want to be the first madman to ride 100,000kms+ on a little ol'Hornet!
