    Got my license

On saturday I sat and passed my learners, I have been riding non-stop since then, and commuted on monday. Today Kam and I went for a quick ride to huia and back. It was great fun, and there were no incidents. I am riding at nanna speeds still, but am really enjoying it, my only regret is that I didnt get into biking sooner. I have put my first 300 odd kms on the odometer already, and cant wait till I have the confidence and skill for longer rides. This website has been an awesome source of information for a newbie like me, if it wasnt for the advice I have read in these forums I believe I would be at a lot more risk on the roads. Thanks heaps to the more experienced guys who put the time and effort into telling and showing newbies like myself how it is meant to be done.

Yep, biking sure gets under your skin mate. Can't stay off them once you are bitten by the bug. Its a real shame we can't get a job where we get paid to ride.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

    Amen to that.

And welcome to the site Kave
Just remember, while it can be frustrating while you're on your learners or restricted licence, be patient and stick with it. You'll get there

    Hi Kave,
Well done. Its funny how many say " I should have got in to biking sooner." With me it was after the initial few km's. I thought the same, should have done the biking years ago.....
Now to catch up on some lost time...
