Travel time: Akl to Palmerston Nth

Just wondering what you might think would be expected time to travel to Palmerston Nth from Akl - daytime travel - nothing in excess of 115km/hr

I used to allow 5 hrs...........so....115kph and basic stops - 6.5 hrs.

its 550km so no stops and average speed of 90-95 - 6 hours

Just did welly to aucks in 7.5 hours --Im no hero so I was basicly at the legal speed most of the way.
You can cut an hour off that easy because the run outa welly is shocking--
sorry guys but WHY have SH1 going through a whole heap of 50km/h towns--Bizzare

Yeah, I'd allow at least 6 hrs which should be allow for any surprises.
