Haha, know the feeling as I have woked in a bank since leaving school.

The rest of your post is spot on as well.

Dover (and anyone else who hate their bank), changing banks may not be the chore it used to be. Our internal communications tell us we have a team dedicated to helping customers migrate from their current bank. I don't know too much about it as I work more in the technology area but if interested send a PM and I can find out.

What makes a good bank? if there are lots of problems with them like fees services and all that jazz, wouldnt it be easier to do away with the accounts and just have a safe at home somewhere secret??

At least you know where your money is and you are in control..just dont forget where you bury it

And make sure the dog does not dig the stash up either.
My bass is such a slapper.......I cant stop fingering those strings

Yes it is a lot more easier.

When I go to fill up with petrol for example, I always go 5 cents over the amount, for example if it is $60.00 I will go to $60.05 and pay a cash amount of $60.00 and receive $0.05 for free.

Or I could be a clown and use Eftpos and pay an extra $0.05 plus any applicable Eftpos transaction fees.

What is the point of storing money in a bank so that they can earn money from other customers through their other products/services all while charging you a hefty premium for the service of "managing" your money.

Bank's are a business that must meet the common expectations every other business is burdened with -- the primary being profit.

When you enter a business relationship with your chosen Bank find the best ways to get the most out of your relationship, otherwise its not worthwhile.

You wouldn't stay with an abusive husband or wife so why stay with an abusive bank?

Then again Kitty, you can be my banker any day

Well my Mrs works for Westpac, and knowing the shit that they get up to and the fees on top of fees! I wouldnt bank with them, they are the most expensive bank. All the baging about National bank, and they still win the service award, they have won it for nearly every year for ages.

Then one day I was talking politics to one of the staff and they didnt like my right wing views and complained to my then boss and another technician had to goto that site after then lol.

I bank with National and have never had a problem in fact they've been nothing but helpful above and beyond the call of duty!!
Maybe I've just got a good bank manager and he's fucking off to the UK next week so I guess I'll find out how good they are when his replacement takes over!!
