This is a red-letter-day!! Insurance came through, a very reasonable market determination and we can 'buy back' at a friendly price too (less than the brand new Sport Demon fitted the day before it got arse-holed).
Anyone else that finds themselves in a similar situation....STICK TO YOUR GUNS. It worked for us.

Dunno what the frame is like (was always gonna be a guess, there) but for the rest of it...repairable, if not pretty, or I know where there is another wreck which has most of the damaged parts in OK nick

If we can help him into a car and provide a bike, that is, if not flash, at least ok, then we will.
