    Almost all over...

Went for a jaunt on the TL today...headed up to winchester turned off and went the inland way up through Rakaia gorge.......a short but awsome bit of twistys.........getting up to the top of the gorge theres a real tight left hander which is a bang it down into first crank it over and grab a big handful on the other side and into a slightly less tight right hander.....cranked over i go and F@R%in hell theres a bloody great rock in front of me.......this was happening at a fair pace and way over..........was almost as if time stood still and i was waiting for the bars to fly out of my hands.........then nothing......i must have missed the bloody thing by mm.......the relief was enormous in fact so much so that i almost stuffed up the right hander..........The gods of motorcycling were smileing on me today otherwise it could well have been a very expensive/painful episode.......The whole thing was such a rush i just had to share..........

Know the feeling, found the same thing on the Napier/Taupo, but I hit it-- airborne but landed safe and due to the weight of the bike ,kept going straight, buckled both rims and had to ride back to the hutt at a very reduced pace !!!!
